Rotating a shape without changing it

The title

pretty much says it all. I’m trying to maximize my wood blanks by getting the most out of them. I have a shape that would allow me to get two of the “legs” cut if I could adjust their position. It’s the piece at the bottom…any way to rotate it so I could get two of them?

Quick document explaining rotating objects.

Thanks but, no matter what I do, the shape is distorted. The pieces have to fit together in another piece so they have to maintain their size and shape.

Are the 6 lines of the “L” grouped before you rotate them?
I see no reason why they should distort or change.
Can you show us a before and after image of the rotation?

OK, I was trying to rotate it with the corner square while holding the ctrl key, when I tried it again I just used the corner drag button and it rotated, thank you both, very happy.

You can also select your item(s) then choose a pivot point (Red) and type in a rotation angle (Blue). In my opinion this area of the screen layout is ambiguous… and could use a rework… but the tool is there.
