Round out a circle

Hey all, sorry for the dumb question. I am trying to cut out some Christmas ornaments, but some of my SVGs have a random edge I need to remove. How can I go around cutting out this and completing the circle evenly? Thanks for any help. See attached example.

Use the node editor. Delete the offending nodes.

Thanks so much for the reply. I should have mentioned I did “try” that, but it kept deleting the entire shape. Any thoughts on how to isolate the nodes? Ill go back to that and keep clicking around.

Where the circle stops and the edge starts insert a node there on both sides. Then delete the edges. move the two inserted nodes together and join them if they don’t auto joun.

Something is wrong, there must be nodes that are creating this anomaly, would you upload the file to find out what is wrong?

While in node editing mode, place your mouse over the node at which you wish to break the line, press B to break. As an alternative, place the mouse over the segment and press D to delete the segment.

Hover your mouse over the node and press the d key, not delete

Make sure that the shape and or shapes are not grouped. Nodes will only become visible when using “Edit Nodes” on ungrouped shapes.
