I have been playing around with some Rowmark plastic sheets i obtained. Been pretty successful in engraving but cutting still an issue. It is melting the plastic when cutting. Anyone have success with this.
Cutting, plastics with diode lasers is always a challenge.
Considering diodes cut by “burning” the materials. And plastics tend to melt more than burn (hopefully) you get a molten mess of a cut in the end
Seems the only clean way to cut is mechanical (cnc/knife) or Co2 source lasers
There is a product by Rowmark called LaserMax that is available. Made for laser cutting but not sure if i want to spend 19.00 for a small sheet just to try it out
Rowmark has no product suitable - at least off spec sheet - for diode lasers
