Ruida 6445 limit switches

Limit switches configuration issue or hardware issue.

  1. Ruida Controller 6445G
  2. N.O. Switch’s installed on - X-Axis & - Y-Axis
    • X-Axis N.O. Wire connects to (CN4) pin 4 Phoenix terminal that says (X-). The common wire from the - X-Axis connects to (CN4) pin 1 on the Phoenix terminal that says (Ground)
  3. When the controller is powered on and I trigger the limit switch, the -X led on the controller Illuminates. = this is correct
  4. Without the switch activated the LED on the controller is NOT illuminated = this is correct.
  5. Without the limit switch activated, the display in +diagnosis lights up saying it’s triggered but the physical switch is not triggered.
  6. With the display led that says the limit switch is triggered (X-Axis) it will not let you log the machine.
  7. When I described the limit switch in the software/display it will allow me to jog = this is correct.

Issue is that the controller where the input wires hook up into it acts correctly when a limit switch is activated by illuminating. What doesn’t make sense to me is in the display it says it’s activated but the switch is not; almost like the controller and display are out of synch?

Any suggestions?

All, I’m thinking that maybe the inputs on the controller are compromised. In the picture I posted with the diagnostics led’s it’s stating that the X+ is triggered but I do not have a limit switch for that axis and I do. It have any wires hooked up to that input at all.

I emailed CloudLaser where I purchased the controller from. I haven’t heard anything from them yet.

No ones looked at this thread yet but I’m hopeful for some input.
