I have a OMTech 55 watt laser. It has a Ruida 644XG controller. The machine has worked very well until I fired it up today to check mirror alignment after cleaning. The machine has set idle for few months while I was busy with other things. Today it decided to start doing some funky things. When I try to move the gantry forward with the down arrow on the key pad, the gantry moves forward and to the left. When I try to move the x axis to the left using the left arrow key, it moves forward and to the left. The up arrow and right arrow keys work normally. In lightburn the move buttons all work normally. I rewrote the original frimware to the controller, but that didn’t help. Any ideas about what is going on? As I said, it worked perfectly the on the last use.
The control panel might have gone bad. There are cheap ones on cloudray if they match up.
Thanks for the info. Will check it out.
These panels are wired using an 8 bit parallel connection, from what I’ve been told.
It’s unlikely that it’s a connector, but the panel to the controller has a cable with connectors… I’d try resetting them.
