Since the last update my lightburn keeps Not Responding and going grey with the blue circle spinning. It will do the programme that you set but at the end when you need to do more it freezes until I do a reboot of the computer. I contacted Lightburn who said my drivers are out of date, but no they are not. Yes I am getting used to my new Omtech Polar after my GRBL machine and the update to Lightburn Pro so I can run Ruida. Any Ideas please.
If you can set your IP on the laser or you can configure your network to be on the 10.0.1.X domain, I’d suggest you use Ethernet. USB is nothing but a headache.
Thank you Jack no one has thought of that but I live in the Scottish Highlands and we have the lowest broad band speed in the UK and we still have the old copper wire to the house. I will try running it through a wifi booster to the Omtech.
Doesn’t really matter what your broad band speed is, it’s really your local lan that determines transfer rates between devices wired to it. If you have a 1MB broadband from the ISP and your lan is 1GB then data within the lan will transfer at 1GB, if the device is capable.
Since the laser would be on your lan, it has nothing to do with your supplied broadband speed. It’s kind of moot when you’re talking Ruida, if I remember correctly, it’s maximum speed is limited to 100Mb anyway.
I have an old router that configured as a bridge, cost me $12 back when I bought it from Amazon and it works fine.
