SCAL5 is the latest version, compatible with XP-SP3, Vista, 7, 8 &10, OSX 10.10 - 11.1
It’s a ‘generic’ app, bundled by a tonne of manufacturers.
It sounds like they have OS issues.
If it was me…
I would grab a fresh Windows 10 machine, download the Spirit driver and installation guide from here: https://www.technologysupplies.co.uk/downloads/drivers/Spirit_GX.zip https://www.technologysupplies.co.uk/downloads/drivers/driver-installation-manuals.zip
and SCAL5 from GCC https://www.gccworld.com/download.php?sid=software and see what you can find.
Manufacturers like GCC, epilog, ULS, etc. don’t change their controllers very often - if at all.
I just downloaded the driver and it’s dated from 2014, but I suspect that’s the extractor package, not the date of the driver - it says it’s Win10 compatible, 32 and 64 bit
EDIT: I just checked and the GX and GLS drivers are interchangeable in that the GLS driver works with the GX - don’t know about the GX driver working with the GLS, though. The GLS drivers do seem more recent. If you get no luck with the GX driver, give me a shout.
I’m not on a windows machine and it’s a ball-ache to connect and fire one up Normally there would be a bunch, but the windows side of the workshop is packed up awaiting a move to a specialist printing shed.
