any of you guys know how to turn it off? When the job completes it beeps, I could really do just fine without all that. I love me some beeps when there’s an error… but when not necessary just to tell me the job is complete. Sometimes I do a bunch of little short cuts like 20 seconds or 2 minutes and the beeping is getting so annoying to the point where I’ve brought this problem onto you guys I’m almost tempted to open it up and unsolder the little speaker inside the controller just like I did with the chiller.
Interesting… many people want a beep, a text, and an email to let them know things are done… and they need to attend to their unattended job.
yea I guess I don’t understand that… the machine is right here about 5 feet away from me, I’m usually working on my next job or playing a video game or watching some YouTube video while it’s working away and it’s right there… no need for a beep, we know when it’s done. I’ve heard of people muffling the sound by putting some tape on the hole behind the controller… Is that behind the display part or the controller part where all the wiring is plugged into?
At least it’s only three, most of the other electronic devices I have are five or six. I for one wouldn’t mind it if my Ortur gave me at least one. Electrical tape isn’t a bad idea (I did that to my golf cart).
You would hate the minute long electronic melody my stupid washing machine plays then.
I think it was designed by the same company that makes slot machines for casino’s.
It’s certainly not the pleasant single ‘Ding’ of my Rice Maker.
Just sayin’
I have a “suite” of kitchen appliances that play Für Elise (SWIDT).
well… Since no one really answered I started removing some screws and found where the speaker is… its inside the box with the display, not the controller. Put a little bit of tape over it and closed it up… much much better. You can still hear it but it’s not so damn loud!
there it is right there !!!
Every problem has a solution.
Thank you for blazing the trail for us, I will be attempting it myself this morning. Out of curiosity, what model controller do you have?
