Ruida controller dropping connection to Lightburn constantly

Hello,

I am having some trouble with maintaining a connection with my laser. I have a Ruida controller and running the latest version of Lightburn on a Windows 11 machine. When I open Lightburn, I have to have it detect my laser constantly… when I say constantly, I mean I will get it connected, jog the head with the software, then go to jog again and it has lost connection. It’s within seconds, so I don’t believe it is a “sleep” issue. I have tried multiple USB cables, all less than 6 feet. I have no other machines running, the chiller is on a separate circuit, I’m at a loss for where to check next.

I’d suggest trying to connecting via Ethernet or LightBurn Bridge. An unreliable USB connection isn’t a typical problem for Windows computers but Ethernet tends to be more reliable.
