I have the following connections from the RDC6445
L-On1 -----> L
LPWM1 -----> IN
Gnd ------> G
Channel A is the LPWM1 output from Controller
Channel B is the L-On1 output from Controller
Pressing “FRAME” this is what I’m getting on the Fluke123 Scope
The laser fires even tough “L” is High (4.6VDC)
Here are the “FRAME PARAMETERS” in the RDC6445.
Here is what I’m getting when I press the “PULSE” Button.
I’m thinking that the Laser Power Supply is NOT responding the the “L” input?
Any Ideas?
Thank You,
Dave S

If it also fires when it shouldn’t while sending a design from LightBurn, then you are absolutely right.
The same thing happened to my OMTech laser:
It failed just barely within the warranty and OMTech replaced it, but I bought a spare just because the supplies seem to be consumables.

Here is a quick cut test from LightBurn showing that the laser is continually firing even though “L” input is being control properly.

Yup, conclusive evidence of a dead supply.
On the upside, if the machine is still under warranty, you’ve got a slam-dunk case for a replacement.
