Ruida Rdc6445g CN3 CN4 with 5V

I have a query about the controller and the section of limit switches CN3 and CN4. The documentation says that the output pins in each bank are 1 (GND) and 6 (5V +) pins 2, 3,4 and 5 are for the limit switches that when closed put GND (low signal) on them. However, when measuring with the multimeter between pin 1 (GND) and 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 it shows me a voltage of 5V.

For pins 2,3,4 and 5 it’s the open pin voltage.
Your limit switch has to pull the pin to GND, either with a passive switch (Normal Open) or an opencollector output of an active limit switch in which case you can use pin 6 (+5V) as the power supply for the switch.
If the input goes to GND the controller knows the limit has been reached.

Henk

Thanks a lot for your prompt answer. I’m not electronic but what you mean it is ok to have that 5 V in those pins and limit switch should put a GND on those pins for the controller to detect action on the limit switch?

That’s right

Thanks Dear Henk you made my day!!
