Hello , i’m new here. I have an china laser red and black 60w 700x500mm , and i got some problems. 1 of 2 proximity sensor burned and i replace him . After that the laser doesn’t work anymore , and i can’t homing , because ruida 6442g think have length 10000x10000 . Plese help
That indicates the limit switch you replaced is not operating, because the controller has not completed the homing sequence required to set the axis lengths from a known location.
The replacement switch should have an internal LED that lights when it is triggered; you can verify it by putting a steel object or knife blade near the marked target on the switch.
You can then verify the controller correctly detects the switch signal with the controller’s diagnostic display. If the switch does not produce a change at the controller, then check the wiring from the switch to the controller’s input terminal for breaks. If the controller “sees” the switch input changing, then homing should work.
However, we have seen several cases of Ruida controllers showing an input signal, but not “paying attention” to it. In your case, that would be:
- A correctly operating switch
- A visible change in the controller diagnostic display
- Homing still does not work
Unfortunately, replacing the controller seems to be the only way to solve that problem.
Check the switch and the wiring carefully … and good luck!
Did you get the same proximity switch?
There are pnp and npn types, normally these are npn (open collector).
Here’s a quick video on them…
Do you mind explaining how it burned?
