Running Lightburn on a Laser Mark Control Board: DLC Version 1 for a JCZ Fiber Laser

Greetings,

I have a 300W JCZ Fiber laser with a Laser Mark Control Board: DLC Version 1 control board.

EZCAD has been an awful program to use and I’d like to upgrade the experience to Lightburn. But I’m having compatibility issues.
I installed the Lightburn driver to the correct USB location via Zadig. Everything looks like it’s in the correct place. However, there is no connectivity.
Lighburn customer support stated "Our rule of thumb is that any Galvo compatible with EzCad2/EzCad2-lite is compatible with LightBurn. These lasers usually use a BJJCZ controller and some manufacturers even promote LightBurn compatibility on their product pages. "

…but I’m left without answers. Does anyone know if my control board is compatible with lightburn? What could I try to get connectivity? I’m happy to buy a new control board; whatever it takes to solve this one.

Thanks in advance for any helpful guidance!

Wow 300W, that’s a big machine.

What software did your laser come with from the manufacturer?

Hi Colin,

It came with EZCAD2 software. So it should work with Lightburn. But after all of the prescribed tricks, and everything looking correct, I have crickets.
