Hi just purchased a new VEVOR 80 watt co2 laser , hooked up to lightburn (having been on lightburn for a while) , lightburn told me I need to upgrade so I did , now it frames and does material testing just fine but when I drag image on to lightburn and go to run it , it runs but won’t fire , but when I click on default on the settings screen, it will fire but to ruida settings, I have no control on power a speed settings
I’m lost
Go and update your profile to show the new machine and which Ruida controller you have in the machine. I assume it’s a Ruida.
Are you using USB or Ethernet to connect to the dsp?
Have you set the power and speed on the layer and it’s isn’t making it to the Ruida? If you send the file to the Ruida and open it there, does it have the correct values in the parameters?
What values for speed and power are you attempting to use?
Don’t reset anything, you’ll loose the vendor settings.
Which apparently can only be done through a magic link, while the obvious route through the User Profile remains disabled:
It’s a somewhat controversial explanation, you write that you can do a material test but also that you have no control over power…
Be aware that if you use a file from your diode laser that is set to 100% power, for example, there is a risk that you will overload your new tube. Check and adjust your old files/settings!
Nice and big machine. Can you see if there is a standard test file in the controller?, if so, could you test it.
When you write “no control over power”…, does that mean that you can’t make a small square with fill e.g. 200mm/s and 20% power, option for this layer and run it?
The very first thing I do after every time I update LB is to reload my preferences backup file from prior to the update. Windows does not always play nice with the preferences file when doing updates.
You also have the option to test by installing the last working version of LB again to see if the machine runs correctly.
It’s very simple, find the version that suits you (on the LightBurn website) and install it directly over the existing one, it doesn’t matter if it’s an upgrade or a downgrade.
ok i figured out what us going on!
I went into settings, and I noticed that the measuring setting was on the diode setting which is totally different that the co2 setting and now I’m stoked!!
Thank you all for helping me out
I promise to keep checking back to help out any way I can
Peace
