No matter what I do, I cannot get my S30 Pro to do projects larger than the base when I have the expansion kit. Ideas and suggestions please…
Why do 90% of sellers of expansion kits assume if you are buying an extension kit. you will know which setting to change ? 1st change your work area to the new size, then change the Max Y Travel setting to the new extension size, so it will home in 1 move from the far end.

You can do this with the Machine Settings window or by entering $131=xxx (your max travel in mm) in the Console window.

Christ and Mike already answered, but maybe take an additional look here:
I checked, and rechecked my work area. Changed the $131 setting. In the end, I reset all settings using $RST=$. I was immediately able to frame my whole project at the right size and started printing.
I still don’t know where or how to do the firmware uploads. And I still have not heard anything from the Manufacturer. LightBurn communicated with me via email and gave me all the suggestions that ended up fixing my issue.
