So I have a weird one here. I have been having trouble getting anything to cut on my laser for a few weeks. I checked, adjusted, cleaned, and aligned everything that I knew of and everything recommended on several websites. Still wouldn’t cut. So, on a whim, I decided to go in the house and send the file to the laser from a different computer and it cut like a champ. Since then it has continued to cut perfectly from the computer in the house. The laser computer is an older computer running windows 10 and the one in the house is newer running windows 11. Both have the most current version of Lightburn. Anyone else experience anything like this?
What is the difference in the behavior between the two?
I’m going to guess that there’s likely a setting difference in LightBurn between the two computers.
You can easily duplicate the configuration between the machines. On the machine that works good, do a File/Export Prefs. Copy this file to a USB drive or something and take to the computer that is having issues. Do a File/Import Prefs on that machine and import the file you exported from the other computer. This will make the machine configuration identical between the two machines so you don’t have to try and find the differences.
