Samurai Sword wall Rack – Display sword arc up or arc down. We had a gift shop 20+ years ago and sold Samurai swords. One day a Older Japanese man come in & said he was a 10th generation Samurai craftsman, trained by his Grandfather and father during WWII. He said that Sword craftsman stored the sword arc up so the oil applied to the sword would run down on to the cutting edge to preserve the edge.

This wall rack was designed so the center peace could be interchanged with other styles to display any type of fantasy sword. See pics

Very nice. My Japanese brother-in-law explained that arc up causes troubles to drip off the ends of the blade, arc down makes trouble (bad spirits) collect in the middle. I know there was some communication errors (his English is much better than my Japanese ;))
