When I save an image to gCode for saving on an Micro SD card for the Longer Ray5, it doesn’t save the cut line at all, any ideas? Thanks
What happens instead? Can you post a small example gcode file here? Make sure the file has a .txt extension in order to be accepted by the forum software.
I’m afraid I’m not sure how to do that, but here is the file. Hope that’s OK

How are you determining that it hasn’t saved that cut line? If you click ‘Save GCode’ and name the file with a .txt extension, you can attach it to a post here.
You can also import .gc files back into LightBurn. The imported one on the right shows all the lines present in the original:
I have to apologise for wasting your time, a newbie error. As the outer line isn’t red, my cut line, I assumed it wouldn’t work I have just tried it, and it does. Apologies once again. Thsnk you for your seift response too. Cheers. Mike.
If you were checking it by importing it, that’s why - GCode doesn’t save any of the design properties of the file (like color). When we import GCode, it’s just importing vector shapes to let you spot check that the resulting path is correct, or let you import geometry from an existing GCode file.
If you were looking at the preview, similar rules apply - the laser doesn’t burn in color, so you won’t see color there either.
Thank you for explaining it to me, much appreciated, from a numpty seventy year old
