Scale from center instead of top left corner?

So I thought I found the answer to this but I was wrong. Whenever dragging the corners to scale something up/down and I’ve already centered the image, it throws it off center and I have to readjust after. Is there some way to have it scale from the middle of the image instead of the top left corner or wherever it is using the origin point from?

Could be any shape, the grabbing points always go to the 4 corners and midpoints of the four sides. Yes, I have, just seems like there should be an option to be able to scale from the center, it’s probably the most common point people would want to scale from I’d think.
