Scaling from CAD to LB

Am am I missing a trick somewhere ?
I create drawings in TuboCAD and can save them in .dxf, .pdf, .bmp, .png and .svg. When any one of these is imported to Lightburn the original scale is lost and various different scales result. This can be fixed by using a datum dimension marker in CAD to adjust in Lightburn - long and laborious process.

Is there a better way ? I can not find any similar queries in this forum - apart from one concerning AutoCAD/ SketchUp.

LightBurn attempts to auto-detect the units for import. If it can’t properly detect it, the unit defined in the import configuration will determine how it’s interpreted. You can change this in Edit->Settings->File Settings.

PDF is always imported at 72 DPI as far as I understand.

SVG import configuration can be changed between 72 and 96 DPI. 96 DPI is the standard other than for Adobe exported items which tend to be at 72 DPI. This can also be changed in Settings menu.

Raster images I’m not sure about but I believe they should respect any defined DPI if available.

If this is not working for you can you upload some samples files and list expected dimensions?

…the second half of that I don’t quite understand, but regarding scaling, are you sure you are working with the same units of measurement in both programs?

Many thanks for your help.
I had not discovered Import File Settings so will try later.
My day 3 now 4 with LB, day 1 spent getting my laptop to talk to my iCube. Still feeling my way.
My CAD drawings are vector, so I would like to get .dxf working to scale to avoid conversions. mm in both.
Will let you know.

Both programmes are in mm. I have been directed to File Settings by berainlmb so will look into that. Thanks for helping.
