Scissor icon error in my lightburn

good day.
In lightburn on the left side I lost the scissors icon and so I can’t cut out the unnecessary parts for me. Please see the photo - how do I get the scissors back?. I’ve tried everything…

I have the scissors on my other laptop…
note - there are scissors at the top, but they erase everything

Try turning off beginner mode in the settings menu

Perhaps click-and-drag downward on the splitter bar between the two groups of tools:

Clicking the downward chevron should (I think) pop out a box with all the missing icons.

Betcha the other laptop has more vertical pixels on its screen, because this one is small enough to force LightBurn into condensing the toolbars to make them fit.

You can get a little more vertical space by setting the Windows Task Bar to Auto-hide.

I wasn’t near my Lightburn when I suggested turn Beginner mode off, that won’t solve it. First, what version of Lightburn is on your laptop, you don’t show the whole screen. The scissor tool is a recent addition. If you’re not running version 1.7 or newer the scissor tool doesn’t exist. If you are running 1.7 or newer try Windows Menu> Reset Default Layout.

@JohnJohn: Seems to me showing two identical icons with completely different operations is a UI blooper.

Maybe a tweak for 2.0 RC5?

I can confirm that these behave differently.
I have reported this to the dev team.

I’m looking forward to the discussion and getting back to you on this issue.

Oz has adjusted the Cut Icon along the top row.

I don’t see it in 2.0 RC5 yet. It might be in a ‘Nightly’ build.
I’m expecting it in the next release.
