Screen allignment problem

Hi,
I’m new to Lightburn software but not to Laser cutting. I’m running Lightburn on Linux on a 1920x1080 screen.

  1. When starting up Lightburn the bottom of screen is missing. After minimizing and then maximizing the bottom section will be visible. Have tried to use the Window Resizing command as suggested in another post, but that will only remove bottom section again. (see second screenshot)

  2. In the settings I have opted to have Laser firing button active on screen. However, the Line is not / barley visible. I can reduce the bottom section (Laser) to expose the Laser firing line but when clicking on anything else it will revert back and block that section again.

Hi again,
just an update regarding screen issues:
Took me ages to realise there is colour palette supposed to show at the bottom of screen.
Yet the only way I can access it is by setting taskbar to “Auto Hide”. Which is rather annoying for all other work I do on that computer.
Is there a way to move colour palette to another location ? I.e. one side?
Thanks

Grab it and drag it over there.

You can make tool buttons smaller in the settings. With a display size of 1080 vertically there should be plenty of room, but it will depend some on your display scaling settings. If your default display scale is large, all the controls will take up more room than they should and you’ll need to rearrange things to make them fit.

The reason your two right side windows are overlapping is that there is not enough vertical space for both of them at their minimum display height. You will need to un-dock and stack them one on top of the other, or try the things I suggested above with icon size, font size, etc.

Hi,
thanks for the prompt reply.
Did try that earlier but obviously couldn’t get to the correct area for the “move” sign to come up.
Have managed to move the colour palette now, but bottom scale is now behind taskbar instead. But that’s not a big issue as top one is clearly visible
Thanks
