Screen printing with lasers

Proof-of-concept method for creating screen printing stencils with a laser:
This eliminates the messy part of stencil production with the traditional UV exposure method and cleaning.

A test on paper looked convincing.

The Image Mode Newsprint works, but I later found out that Halftone is even better suited to make bigger dots for more paint to get through.

Newsprint vs Halftone @ 0.05 Line Interval:

I stretched stainless steel mesh over a picture frame, coated it with white glue, and etched it on a CO2.

A diode laser should work; however, the lower wavelength heats the metal more, which makes it somewhat more challenging to find the correct power settings.

Did a quick print with way too much acrylic paint, and the mesh wasn’t flat enough, but it works!

Okay, Halftone Image Mode will work way better!

The Cells per inch value is a helpful variable.
