I have a sculpfun S9 and using Lightburn, for some reason my laser is only firing about 50% of the time. It moves fine and no wierd noises. It is on continuous cut. I am a little baffled. I don’t get to use it as much as I would like due to other commitments so learning and keeping the process is not easy. I wondered wether a software update would cause this, I think I did see a revert for an update glitch, but not sure. when the laser does fire it cuts well. Being a dummy I feel it is software related. Any help or advice is more than welcome.

PS it cuts 50% and misses 50%. Not in spits and spurts, On 50% off 50%..
Perhaps Perforation Mode is (inadvertently) enabled:
I think I have sorted. Somehow the Kerf offset was at 0.
I am better than I thought I was.
As it normally is.
How does (re?)setting the offset to something larger affect the laser output?
Step us through this, because it’s an interesting failure that might affect somebody else. ![]()
