Sculpfun S30 Pro Max 20W - versus formica sheet

Hi
will an S30 20W diode cut white Formica laminate (2mm thick). I understand the glossy white surface may be an issue. In that case … would it cut OK from the opposite side of the laminate sheet, which is dull brown ?

Not recommended. Plastic laminate is “Plastic” which emits a poisonous, corossive gas when burned. Even with great ventilation to remove the fumes from breathing, the corossove nature will very likely affect your machine.

Hi … not sure Formica laminate is a plastic per se. I know they do produce plastic laminates but don’t think the material I have is. Either way, thanks for the feedback, sounds like good advice.
