Sculpfun s30 pro max 22w conversion to s30 Ultra 22w

I had a sculpfun s30 Pro 22w. All was well until it suddenly caught fire. No house damage thank goodness but I contacted sculpfun chat and was told the s30 ultra module would be compatible if I wanted to upgrade. I did so and now when I try to install the new module on the old S30 Pro frame, I have more connections than I do on the frame. Is there any way to make this work? I now have several hundred dollars invested into nothing :frowning:

Without pictures, it will be hard to guess. My guess is that the fan wires were separated out from the laser wires like my SF-A9 40w.

If you have 3 wires from the controller board, that will be Pos, Neg, and PWM. The fan was using the Pos and Neg at the laser module.

If you have 2 connectors on the laser module, you just need to splice in a couple of wires to connect to the fan. Make sure the fan blows downward when it is running. If the laser is 24v and the fan is 12v, then you will have to run a new cable from the controller board for the fan.

Good luck!
