Sculpfun s6, left to right alignment

Hey guys. First time posting. Been using light burn for about two years with an Atomstack 20w diode laser. Worked great. But wanted to upgrade to the S6 pro for the square focus rather than rectangle which was messing with my design when engraving.

However, I notice this now on my first run with the S6. It’s like going left and right the laser goes out by a fraction of a mm.

Is this a software issue or hardware?

I cannot work it out.

Appreciate any tips.

Have you setup a different device between your older Atomstack 20w and your new S6 Pro?
Its a little hard to see what your issue is, I assume your letters aren’t supposed to be fuzzy like that? Can you provide some screenshots of the file and your settings (please do not use camera phone shots but proper screen captures).

What happens if you just engrave a square on some scrap?

Thanks.

Thanks for the prompt reply.

Please see attached screenshot.

Yeah the file is intended to be normal text width like shown. But when the laser travels left and right, the passes do not align.

Double check your belts. Maybe the X axis is a bit loose and is causing the problem. Not completely sure, but worth checking.

Next, try to enable overscanning and don’t go that fast, try 1000 and less power.
