Sculpfun s9 focus question for better results

I’m excited to share that I purchased a license today, and I’m officially a member of the club!

Now, I have a question: I’ve noticed various settings recommendations for cutting 6mm poplar plywood, some suggetions are to ‘focus in the middle.’ While I’ve watched some YouTube tutorials on focusing, they often involve different and more professional hardware. How can I properly focus my S9 to achieve a better cutting result?"

User misken advices “focus in the middle”

You can either laser your own focus tool or just move it further down and measure  In the end, it’s all about testing. Check what works best for you. 6 mm plywood is already borderline with the S9, I usually recommend 10W for such thickness. But it works with the S9 as well, just takes much time.

Focus in center of 6mm ply? Easy, just manually set focus with focus tool on a piece of 3mm ply, remove 3mm and put 6mm ply in its place.
