My Sculpfun S9 was working great then all of sudden it has stopped connecting/responding. I have checked settings, reinstalled drivers and software and changed USB cables all with no result. When starting lightburn there are all these weird symbols in console window and the laser window shows the unit is constantly busy but nothing happens. See screen shot. Anyone have any ideas on what went wrong and how to fix?
These symbols indicate a communication problem with the laser. Usually, this is caused by a bad USB connection or electrical interference while connected. Make sure you remove all these factors. (A few more are listed here: FAQ - Diode Laser Wiki)
If there are still problems, I recommend updating the firmware, I already had some cases where this was required to get stable operation back. A guide is here: https://wiki.the-iskens.com/documentation/firmware-update/
