Good evening . I am an Italian hobbyist. I bought a sculpfun s 9. after having connected the machine to the computer since the first attempts, I immediately noticed that every time I moved the Y axis manually, the X axis motor also moved 1 mm to the right. In any direction I went with the Y axis the X axis moved 1 mm and the machine detected it, from here I noticed that on simple incisions such as squares they became rhombuses and the circles were jagged. Unable to find answers I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Lightburn and the drivers, then tried switching PCs and things got worse. Finally I also tried to press the reset button on the machine board and now sometimes it connects and sometimes it doesn’t but when it connects to the motors an electric impulse arrives but they don’t move. The machine is blocked and cannot be moved even by forcing it. I bought the laser 30 days ago and have not been able to use it yet. Someone help me please!!
Sorry to hear you are having problems. Not sure what version of Grbl you have on your S9. I know I had to upgrade mine to get it to work properly on the newer versions of LightBurn. That would be the first thing to do. There is an explanation on how to do it on the website help docs.
