Hello, I recently purchase the Sculpfun s9 and a total newbie. Ive connected S9 with LB version 1.0.06 not able to match my workspace unit with the software workspace. When positioning the laser X, Y axis it’ll hit the rails. Thank you in advance

These indicate what your laser controller believes is the worksize of your laser in X ($130), Y ($131), and Z ($132). You don’t have a Z so that can be ignored.
So your workspace size should be 410x400 mm.
However, in Device Settings you have the workspace size set to 410x420 mm. So you have a 20 mm difference which could lead to crashes.
Change the size in Device Settings and retest.
Ok, I adjusted parameter and it still crashes. When I position the laser in LB workspace it doesn’t corresponded to the machine.
What is your startup procedure? You need to have the laser head to the front left of your machine when you first startup. Or after startup, move the laser head front left and power cycle.
Since your machine doesn’t have limit switches and doesn’t perform a homing cycle you need to do this in order to establish your 0,0. Essentially wherever you power on from is your 0,0 position. If you are not in the front left when you do that the laser and LightBurn do not know that there is not sufficient space to travel a full 410,400.

My problem seem very similar to this however when I enter $$ in the console there is no response. continues to say ‘waiting for connection’. I verified the sizes were accurate. Windows laptop running 11, Sculpfun S9 cutter. Thanks!
