Sculpfun SF-A9 is not working via WIFI, but via USB?

Dear all,

I have a new Sculpfun SF-A9 and I am trying out Lightburn. I am very new to the whole laser topic, so please forgive me some stupid questions.

I connected the laser via USB to my MacBook and was able to connect it to Lightburn as device. (Lightburn found it during the search). Now I disconnected the USB connection.

My Sculpfun has an IP and is connected to my personal wireless network. I configured that via Sculpfun software and I am able to open the Sculpfun device website of my laser. I tried to create a manual connection in Lightburn with RGBL and TCP-IP. But Lightburn always says, that this device is disconnected. In the Console windows of LightBurn it always give out the information “Waiting for connection”.

Does someone has any idea? Sure, I could work via USB. But I think via wireless network it would be much more easier and has more comfortable for me.

Thanks!

Also be aware USB is more reliable than WIFI. It is not competing for bandwidth.

Also, congratulations on the SF-A9. I bought one when I needed more power than my S30 could deliver. Now I have a scalpel and a chainsaw. :joy:

Ah okay. Thema i will work with usb. Thanks.
