Sculptfun camera CAM 500

I am a licensed LightBurn user and I purchased the official Sculpfun 5MP LightBurn camera directly from the recommended source.

The camera worked perfectly in the past.
Now it no longer works in ANY LightBurn version, and I have tested:

3 different laptops

Windows 10 and 11

about 10 different LightBurn versions, including older ones

2 different Sculpfun 5MP cameras (one brand new, just unboxed)

The result is always the same:

LightBurn cannot detect the camera or shows only a black preview

The “Camera Resolution” menu is missing

The camera works perfectly in Windows Camera, AMCap, OBS

No hardware changes were made

Since BOTH cameras behave identically across THREE computers and MULTIPLE LightBurn versions, this is clearly a LightBurn camera module compatibility problem.

I request an official solution, not further troubleshooting steps.

Please provide:

  1. Official confirmation whether LightBurn still supports the Sculpfun 5MP camera.

  2. The recommended LightBurn version for full compatibility.

  3. Instructions or a patch that restores MJPEG/YUY2 functionality inside LightBurn.

  4. If support has been dropped, please state this clearly so I can claim warranty from Sculpfun.

I expect a clear and direct answer because both the software license and the camera were purchased legitimately.

At what point did the camera stop working? There must have been a point where it was working, then it wasn’t, and that information will be useful for diagnostics.

From the way you have written this post, it doesn’t seem like you’re willing to work through any sort of diagnostics. If that’s the case, then we won’t be able to make much headway.

Have you tried switching the camera driver from Default to Fallback in the Camera Settings tab?

Before continuing diagnostics, I need a single clear confirmation from LightBurn staff:

:backhand_index_pointing_right: Can you provide ONE video or ONE verified example where the Sculptfun CAM500 (5MP USB camera) works correctly with the latest LightBurn versions (1.7 → 2.0.x)?

Here is why I ask:

The camera works perfectly in Windows Camera, AMCap, and any UVC-compatible software.

On LightBurn version 1.6.x from last year, the camera worked perfectly.

Immediately after updating the license and installing LightBurn 1.7 / 2.x, the camera stopped working (black screen or not detected).

I tested on three different laptops, clean installations, different USB ports.

I tested with two different Sculptfun CAM500 units (one new, just unboxed).

A certified IT specialist checked all drivers and settings.

All diagnostics lead to the same conclusion:
LightBurn is no longer compatible with this camera in newer versions.

Before I continue troubleshooting,

:backhand_index_pointing_right: provide a real example or short video where this camera works in LightBurn 2.x.

If the camera is no longer supported, please state it clearly so we can stop wasting time.
