I have just aquired a 5w UV Galvo fitted with a SEALASER DBK2JP Control board. It seems it firstly can’t find the board and secondly no manual settings I’ve tried seem to connect. I’m a fairly experienced laser user and have a Co2 Galvo and Fibre laser but this is something that has me driven nuts. I have installed the Cypress driver to allow the USB connection but after that nothing seems to work. I do have the Pro lisence and the latest release of Lightburn 2.1.02. If someone can tell me how to get this connected to Lightburn I will be in their debt forever!! Many thanks

How does the laser appear in the Windows Device Manager?
Ensure that the emergency switch is disengaged, and connect the USB cable directly to a port on the computer.
If you just received the machine, I’d recommend testing it with the SeaLaser software first to ensure it’s working correctly.
To add it in LightBurn, you’ll need to load the manufacturer’s config file, as instructed here:
Choose “BSLFiber” as the device type.

Thanks for the reply. Yes the connection is recognised in windows.
The machine works in BslAppSimple which is just a rebadged Ezcad2.
I’ll try connecting via BSL Fibre and see what happens. Many thanks
Hi Aaron, your help was much appreciated and now I am connected to Lightburn and this makes me very happy.
The next issue is I can hear the galvo trying to frame but no light is on the work. The seller hasn’t been able to send any sort of configuration file and so I’m starting from a blank slate. I can see the I.O’s list in device settings but for a UV galvo I have zero idea where to start.
Many UV galvos don’t have a visible red framing laser. They use the invisible UV laser for framing.
Did the machine come with a neon-colored paddle like this?
This needs to be used in order to see the UV traces.
Note that while our eyes can’t see the UV light at this wavelength, it’s still harmful for our retinas. Always wear the appropriate eye protection!
Did you get a red framing when using SeaLaser?
Try if “Red Dot always on” needs to be enabled in the Device Settings here:
If SeaLaser worked correctly, the settings file should be there in the application folder. It’s usually in a subfolder called “config”.
They are either a BslCAD.cfg or LmcPar.cfg
