At time around 9:45 in this video, Lightburn Tips I Wish I Knew Earlier! , the presenter says ‘Type in “Nest”’ and as he types in each character he gets a lsit of commands which narrow down as he types more characters, and finally selects the one he wants.
I can’t see in the video what he does to get into that “Search” window.
It looks useful to save time or if you can’t remember which menu a particular command/tool is in.
Can anyone help please i.e. how to get into that “Search” mode?
He’s working on a mac and that search box is in the Help Menu. I don’t know if Windows has the same functionality.
Thanks Tim - I’m on Windows and there is no text entry box in the Help Menu, so looks like I’m out of luck. I wonder why that feature is only on Apple and not on Windows?
The search under the Help menu is actually a MacOS feature, not part of the framework that LightBurn is built on. One of the questions I raised recently is the ability to bring the search tool more forward in the software, and we’ll see if that gets implemented.
If you ever have a question about a feature, hover over it with your mouse and press ‘F1’ to bring up the docs page on that feature.

Makes sense - thanks Colin!
