I am still pretty new to Lightburn but I do not have a “Send” button in my laser menu as I have seen in many tutorials and videos. I honestly do not know if it was ever there? I have tried resetting my windows to default as suggested in another post but it is still not there.
Should the “Send” button be in the laser menu or is there another way to resend a file to the laser?
Any suggestions are appreciated. Currently I have to close Lightburn then reopen to reload the file.
This is on my Atezr.
Sometimes I will run a test cut and then make an adjustment to a setting or even my design and then want to resend the file to the laser with the changes. If I just hit “Run” again it seems to just run the original file.
Updated settings are not reflected in the second burn
Is this what you’re seeing? If so, there’s something wrong. Please double-check this to make sure this is absolutely what you’re getting otherwise this may lead to quite a wild goose chase.
Your description is an accurate description of what seems to be going on. I will setup and run some specific tests to show if updated settings are being sent to the laser every time I “Run” it.
I am still not sure why the “send” button would not show up due to my individual laser.
I will report back after some more definitive testing.
Because it doesn’t apply to your laser. This is intended for DSP controllers that work offline by sending a file to the laser and the controller working on its own to complete the burn.
Lasers like yours work by streaming the command messages from the computer to the controller.
LightBurn makes some effort to not expose controls that are not directly relevant for a given controller.
