My customer will send me excel spreadsheets with labels requiring specific dimensions for the label and text. Is there a way I can import this directly from excel to LB? I need the dimensions to be accurate.
I don’t think LB is able to use an Excel spreadsheet directly but you might be able to print the spreadsheet to PDF then import that. If you’re able to attach an example spreadsheet we could take a look. If you have trouble attaching the file you might need to append a “.txt” to the end of the file name to get around the forum restrictions (e.g. my spreadsheet.xlsx.txt).
XL is font size and Lightburn is mm height.
A 12 point (pt) font is approximately 4.233 millimeters (mm). This is because one point is equal to 1/72 of an inch, or 0.352 mm. To convert points to millimeters, you can use the conversion factor of 25.4/72. For example, an 8 pt font would be 8 * 25.4/72, or 2.82 mm.
OR 8 pt times 0.35277 = 2.8616 ------ (1/72 * 2.54 = .35277)
20 pt * 0.35277 = 7.0554
and so on…
This should be enough to get you “exact”.
