Setting Device Profile?

Is the “device profile” something other than setting up the Device? If so, which of these is used for setting the device profile? (apologies if I am asking the question poorly)

  1. type of laser cutter (i.e. red-and-black Chinese)
  2. controller (e.g. Ruida 644XG / Ruida Network)
  3. bed size (e.g. 300 x 700)
  4. something else?
