Settings for SH-G530

Hey guys recently upgraded from a k40 to an omtech sh-g350 with Trocen AWC708S controller and having some teething problems.

Running a free readily available software for the k40 (not whisperer ) I was producing some decent image engravings on clear acrylic and nice smooth cuts, I mainly make night lights in my business

Since upgrading my laser and switching to lightburn I don’t seem to be able to get anywhere near the same end results using the same files on each. All of my images appear ‘dotty’ and low resolution compared to my k40 results using the same power and speed settings, on the k40 software it’s a simple script ‘gravy’ and then tweak contrast, gamma, edge enhance etc. I have tried various types on lightburn stucki, jarvis, dither etc and can get nowhere near it, also I find that my cuts are ‘rough’ to the touch and not smooth like I can get from the k40.

Mirrors are aligned, everything feels nice and tight and no vibrations etc. I have ran interval and power tests etc and pretty sure I have the sweet spots. Is this just a limitation of going up in laser size and power or is it down to the image preparation differences between the softwares, where the k40 seems to run as 'lines /dashes and lightburn seems to be all dots?

Thanks in advance and I can grab some pics of my results from each if it helps :+1:
