Hello;
I am very new to laser engraving. I have started with the tutorials and I tried the power “test”/file and it didnt burn until the highest setting. Where do I need to go to learn how to set the machine and lightburn up properly. There is soooo much information I am finding it difficult to find what I am looking for. Thank you.
Can you post your test file and a pic of what it looks like.
When I started - i went too fast and my problems looked like yours sound. A picture might help me confirm my guess.
Thank you for answering John. As soon as I am in front of my machine again I will gladly post pictures. The file is the power/speed file that I found on the forum here.
Can you post a shot of your program as well so we can see what is supposed to be burning?
I believe changing the speed settings starting at the top at 2400 mm/min and (sticking with the theme) going down your list to 600 & 300 - I think you’d really start to see it come together. Seeing the file would be cool too.

@Rick is awesome for having created that (and countless other reasons). I believe that was for his CO2 laser that puts way more energy down and in a more effective way than any diode to date.
I started there as well and cut my speeds by a factor of 10. Then I had to fight a couple more settings. Then I was off and running.
