Shortcuts and "Pendant"

Greetings!

So with my “RuiDa” controlled G·Weike Cloud not having a Screen Panel and my Laptop situated at a slightly unfortunate position I went ahead and ordered myself another Stream Deck to have a more convenient way of controlling the machine when doing stuff like Print & Cut ( like on my CNC ).

Looking through the Shortcuts Editor I found most of the stuff I want on the Deck but couldn’t find the Laser Fire option that would normally be engaged from the RuiDa Panel - Is that just not a thing?

I also couldn’t find a setting to increase or decrease the value of how much/fast the Tool Head would be jogged - My first assumption would have been this being done by using the Ctrl / Shift Modifiers like how it is being displayed in the Move Tab Tooltips but those Modifiers are already used in the Jog Commands themselves like Ctrl+Shift+[? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

No. I don’t think anything like that exists in the software. I suspect it’s possible because I’ve seen Android apps that have a pulse button.

If your controller is compatible and you can identify the pinout you might be able to get something like this to work. It communicates directly to the controller rather than through LightBurn:
Cloudray Ruida Wireless Handle – Cloudray Laser

If you use the numeric keypad arrows the modifier keys do function as you’re expecting. One important thing is that focus needs to be on the workspace for this to work.

There seems to be an iOS equivalent to the Android App using the RuiDa ACS App…
Just gotta figure out the IP Address without having a Screen/Panel

That should do, thanks! =)

It’s not something that exists without it being set manually. At least for the Ruida controllers I’m familiar with they don’t support DHCP or any other dynamic IP assignment. They must be configured manually from the panel.

I think this is the Ruida Android app… Found it on the Internet, so use at your own risk.

If it was on your local network, how could you get to it without it’s IP?

The board I saw in one of these had connectors named the same as my Ruida … wonder if it’s got a connector for a control panel.?

Good luck

:smile_cat:

For now, I’m connecting to it using USB which while working is kinda… meh.

Setting it up with Serial/USB was an immediate NoGo so Packet/USB it was which has this odd feature where the Machine occasionally locks up after having finished a Job reporting an error message the Machine still being busy or something which usually can be fixed by unplugging the USB Cable ( or the Dock Connector ) though yesterday I had the still unconfirmed hunch that simply hitting [ STOP ] in the LightBurn Laser Tab may do the trick
