Single pulse dot

does anyone know how to make lightburn make a single “dot” pulse in a design… i work with leather and want to have the laser cut the needle holes into the leather for when i hand sew…ive been using .01" circles but it would be faster if it could just make a single pulse.

You can set ‘Dot Mode’.

Or you can use ‘Perforation Mode’ for a “slit” style cut pattern.

thanks! i tried it but it ends up that a single pulse is not quite large enough for the needle and thread to go through

This can be an issue. This is why I pointed you to ‘Perforation Mode’ as well. You can control the length of the slit/stitch hole you want along with the spacing between each slit.
