Snapmaker 2.0 no Jogging Functions in MillMage?...and other Questions

Hello everyone

This text was written in German and translated by Google Translate. I hope you understand the content.

I’ve been working with Lightburn for 5 years and am excited about MillMage like a little kid because I own a Snapmaker 2.0 and want to finally use its CNC functions properly.

I installed MillMage RC 0.8 and connected and set up my machine via USB. I used GRBL M3 for this.

I’ve now been able to add my tools to the Tool Library and start my first experiments. Snapmaker receives the G-code and processes it. However, I can’t control the jogging functions, I keep getting GBRL Unknow Commands in the console, and I can’t read any machine parameters. I jog on Work Origin with the Snapmaker touchscreen. Can I change this and control everything via MillMage, just like I do in Lightburn?

Is it correct that the Snapmaker 50W CNC operates at either 6000 RPM (50%) or 12000 RPM (100%), and all other values are uncontrollable? (For the 200W CNC, it would be 9000 RPM or 18000 RPM)

I’m looking forward to hearing from anyone who also uses a Snapmaker 2.0 with MillMage – I’m an avid Lightburn user and hope to have the same experience with MillMage.

THANK YOU!

News!! I installed 0.8 RC5 and set up my Snapmaker 2.0 again, this time as a GRBL M3. And now it works. I can jog from within MM and start/stop, macros, etc. So far, everything’s fine. I don’t see any difference in the profile settings, but my Marlin CNC head is happy with the newly created one in MM 0.8-RC5.
