Camera installation on K40

I have a K40 laser.
I’d like to install a camera.
I saw on this topic Show your LightBurn Camera mounted on a K40 how to install it.
On the topic, it’s shown that the cover must be opened for focusing.
But is the cover can be closed for cutting or must be opened? (for safety reasons, I don’t want to get cover opened when cutting.

Have you an idea on that?

The cover only needs to be open to capture the image and place the material. The camera is not used when the laser is cutting, so the lid is closed.
