Some Feature Suggestions - Simulation while Cutting

While reviewing MM with a local Maker group one suggestion was made related to the control window. UGS has a visualizer to show the current bit position and toolpaths. The Preview has this info - if it could be tied into the Move window at some point that would be a nice capability to add to the ToDo list.

A second suggestion was the idea that one could click/mark a location on the workpiece and have the bit move to that location - at the safe Z height (would need all the zeros set first).

Another idea is to mark the location of no-go areas/heights like clamping positions to avoid the bit crashing into them while jogging.

Thank you for this, David. I’ll make sure these are shared with the team for consideration. Keep’em coming, much appreciated!

I do like this suggestion, would be very handy for lining up jobs say on big timber slabs , which have no square edges etc.
I know this can be achieved by setting project origin to center and working from there and framing, which can become very time consuming moving slab to line up with frame but if project to be cut has lot curves etc framing doesn’t give precise location. eg will say a letter end up on a knot hole and job ruined
if click mark could all be achieved in MM the design could be rotated , moved etc on screen to suit slab and could check points on job to see where they would be cut
