hi everyone, as you know the newest version 1.7.06 has been published.
today, it was the first day to me with the new version. I tried somethings new and somethings old. but I realised that lightburn missed some layers.
for example I have three types of layers which are line1, line 2 and fill. lightburn misses one of these task and gives me unexpected and unwanted outputs.
I have read one of your comments in another topic. as you said I uninstalled the 06 and luckily found the installation of 04 on my download directory and installed it.
then I created a gc file which only includes the missing part of my project. with a flash disk I am directly cutting the wood by help of algolaser operation system just right now when you read this message.
so thanks.
edit : my laser has lost the lasering skill right now. it’s just moving idle
I see what I think are a few issues with your file. I am not sure that any of them explain your results though. First, you have your outer cut line set to run first. Typically you would have the cut last in the layer order so it cuts after all the engraving has completed. Things have a tendancy to move when cut out and cutting last helps to prevent misaligned engravings.
Aside from that, you have Constant Power Mode turned on for all your layers. You also have a kerf offset on the red layer as well as a start and an end pause. What is the reason for these?
Like I said above, I don’t know if any of these items will cause your results, but they are very non-standard settings for typical cuts/engraves.
Your layer power settings are extremely low for a diode laser. You have your cutting layer set to only 20%, and the other two layers are 2.5% and 1% power each, which will do nothing.
Thank you for your patient and educational reply.
You’re right, the line cut must be in the end of operation. Probably yesterday I changed the sort placement of the layers when i was trying to understand what’s going on with the laser.
And I realised that Kerf offset is on when you typed right now, i had no idea about it.
You’re totally right about project file but, before the last version of Lighburn I engraved this project and there was no missed layer. (actually it’s wrong to name it missed layer, let’s call it partially-missed layer. as you can see the photo of the result, on my second message)
Hello yes these are my laser powers and the result is in my second message’s appendix, the wood is seen exactly like this when I operated with those laser powers, I don’t understand what’s wrong it.
and even 200mm/min speed and 18% of power are enough to cut 4mm mdf. i got this result many times
