Hi there,
I have the latest version of lightburn on an M1 Mac Sequoia 15.5 and a 60W Haotian MOPA galvo laser. I’m trying to engrave 13 rings at once using a rotary and a mandrel to hold them all simultaneously.
My file looks like this:
Each of the 13 rings has an outer border and an inner fill (both set to fill). I found the settings by engraving one ring first which somehow lightburn engraved in one pass (outer and inner simultaneously). I liked the results but when I come to engrave all 13 in this way the engraving isn’t quite as precise, ie the line is a little more blurred and it’s more obvious where the laser turned on and off. So I’m trying to programme lightburn to do one ring, followed by the next etc etc so that hopefully the engraving is precise and clean.
I’ve played about with so many settings trying to get it to do this, but none have worked (putting each onto its own layer, grouping them together etc etc). Now I have the outlines on one layer and the inners on another and have grouped each ring as its own group. I’ve double clicked on each layer and checked “fill groups together” and in the optimization settings I’ve selected “order by group”. If I try to run the preview the software crashes, likewise when I just try to run the job. These feel like they could be the settings I’m after too? What’s the solution to my problem?
Thank you
