Speed increments are crazy

When trying to set my speed I can only set at 0,301,601,901,1201. I can’t type the number in either. I have to use the up or down button to change the speed. I’m using aMunbyn GRBL on Winder 10 and it is driving me nuts. Help!!

Where are you doing this? Can you take a screenshot of what you’re seeing?

Don’t know how to post a picture here but I click on the cuts/layer box. It takes me to the cut settings editor. I try to change the speed in the Speed (mm/min) and I can’t type in the number I can only use the up or down arrow and they online move in 300mm increments.

Can you confirm this is how you are doing it?

To upload a picture, just drag onto the reply editor form. Alternatively, you can push the upload button on the toolbar. Make sure it completes uploading before pushing the “Reply” button.

Yes that’s exactly how I’m doing it.

Where and how is it deviating from that path?

If you can see the picture my speed can only be changed in 300 increments and I can’t type in the number I have to use the up or down arrow

What is preventing you from typing in numbers? What happens when you do this?

Also, try one thing. Go to Edit->Settings and disable “Beginner Mode”. I don’t think that’s the actual cause of the issue but will make things look the same as other screenshots.

I don’t know what is preventing me from typing numbers in. It seems like the space is locked but can delete numbers I just can’t enter them.

Is that the only place in LightBurn where you have trouble entering values? Can you enter values for power? How about text placement on the workspace?

Instead of opening the Cut setting by double clicking can you see if you type values into the speed field on the main Cuts / Layers window?

Also, is there any way you can take a video of you attempting to change the speed value by typing?

Out of curiosity, does it work if you use the numbers above the letter keys, instead of the ones on the numeric keypad?

Thanks for your help. It was the number lock on the keyboard. I feel a little stupid but glad it’s solved.

Thank you so much. I can’t believe it was the number lock key. What a great suggestion. Why is it always the simplest things.
