I am doing several clocks for friends that are approx 20" around. With the current settings I have and the laser head doing everything side to side it is taking about 3.5 hours.
I have everything on separate layers; outline, hour lines, minute lines, etc.
Currently the laser head will do the circle outline, then it goes side to side doing the hour lines, minute lines and numbers.
Is there a way to speed up the engraving process? Maybe engrave the circle, then each line individually or something?
Any help is appreciated.
Break it up into thirds or quarters and that will eliminate the majority of white space travel.
Not having a view of your finished project makes me wounder if this would be better done as a vector file. Post your layer files here and let us look at the completed task. I’ve done many similar clocks with pictures as part of them and they only took half the time yours are taking.

Have not completed speed/power as of yet, just working on layout. Also, I am working on a desktop version of LB that is NOT hooked to my laser. I usually work in the house and then take it on a thumb drive out to the garage laptop with the laser, not sure if that is an issue.
