Speeding up when working

Hi
I use Lightburn with my Sculpfun 9, I have started engraving an image on a stainless-steel surface and found I have set the speed way to slow. Is there any way I can speed this up whilst it’s working.

Also is there something that I set or can set if the engraving stops, I can pick it up from that point once reset. We have lots of power problems. I want to just know if there is something in the software to set to pick up from that point as well as putting in a UPS.

There is a speed and power override setting in the ‘Move’ window when the job is running.

Also you can resume your engraving by adjusting the slider in the preview window and hitting ‘start here’, as long as the workpiece hasn’t been moved of course

Thank you

So currently its set on 3mm /m. if I wanted it to speed up to 6mm / m would the speed be adjusted by 200% in the move window.

I want the power to stay the same

Thanks for your Help

I would have thought it would be 100% increase but no totally sure on that

Yes, your right I am Sure, I did increase it but can’t see a difference to be honest. I actually need much faster, but max is 200%. Thank you for your Help.

You are moving about 0.11mm/s, I doubt you’d notice much difference from that with a blazing speed increase to 0.22mm/s.

If you were engraving at 50mm/s, then you’d see the difference at 100mm/s…

It’s all relative.

:smile_cat:

There is a relationship between speed and power. If you increase the speed by 100% (doubled), you also need to increase the power by 100% (double) to get the same result (it’s power per area).
